Cameron Boyce was a talented young actor who was taken from us too soon. He passed away at the of 20 in 2019 after suffering a fatal seizure in his sleep. His death shocked the world, especially those that struggle with epilepsy themselves. Throughout his life, Boyce kept his diagnosis ultra private, with only his family and two friends knowing anything of it. It was only after his 2019 death that it became public knowledge. Shortly following his death, Boyce’s parents, Libby and Victor, created a foundation in their son’s name, The Cameron Boyce Foundation, aiming to end gun violence and bring awareness to epilepsy. Boyce’s death felt personal to me, and it shaped my own struggles with epilepsy and seizures. So I want to tell you about it. Let’s discuss…

It’s been almost a decade since Sabrina Carpenter and Sofia Carson starred in the Disney Channel movie, ‘Adventures In Babysitting’, a remake of the 1987 classic. Gabby Petito was a young, vibrant 22 year old influencer who had her entire life ahead of her before her fiancé, Brian Laundrie, took her life by manual strangulation in August 2021. He then died by suicide a month later, and left a notebook with him where he took full responsibility for Petito’s demise. Now, almost 3 years later, Petito is making big changes in how we see domestic violence and Intimate Partner Violence relationships. It’s a tragic tale of a woman so in love that she failed to see the signs. But Laundrie isn’t fully to blame for her death that could’ve very much been avoidable had she been protected. Let’s discuss…
