Perhaps the most popular contestant on ‘Love Is Blind, Habibi’ was Nour El Haj. She’s a woman who knows what she wants and won’t settle for anything less. Her most memorable line was, ‘I don’t do coffee dates, I don’t do walking dates, i don’t do last minutes dates.’ But does she even look like she does those things in the first place? This is a woman who’s constantly misjudged by the Arab community because of her beauty. Particularly, for caring for her appearance. I’m here to tell you that there’s all absolutely, 100% wrong. I’m here to tell you that Nour was a misunderstood ‘character’ on the show, and I’m here to prove that she was actually the most intriguing person out of all of the contestants combined. I do so by breaking down the Arabic culture as a whole. I do so by exploring Arabic men and how they view women such as Nour, and women in general by analyzing Karma and Ammar’s history and what it has to do with Nour. And I do so by explaining Nour’s characteristics as a woman living in the Arab world. I also prove how, throughout the entire season, the entire run of the first season, Nour showed class, elegance, and grace.
