Dana Reeve: How She Redefined The Role Of A Caregiver To A Loved One With A Disability – And How There Would’ve Been No Christopher Reeve Had It Not Been For Her

Dana Reeve was an actress, performer, and author. But she was also a mother and wife. She was married to ‘Superman’ actor, Christopher Reeve. Following his 1995 horse-riding accident that left the actor paralyzed from the neck down, Dana put her career on hold to care for him full-time. It’s weird to refer to Dana Reeve as just Christopher Reeve’s wife. She was so much more than that. Despite becoming his full-time caregiver, they were very much in love, and Dana said herself that she never felt like his nurse. She was still his wife. If there’s anyone in the world who took the saying ‘For better or worse; in sick and in health’ seriously during her wedding vows, it’s Dana Reeve. She’s the epiphany to the definition of love and care when life isn’t as bright as you thought it might be. She once said, ‘I learned a long time ago life just isn’t fair, so you better stop expecting it to be.’ And that’s true. Life ISN’T fair. When Christopher Reeve was ready to give up on life when he was at the hospital, it was the 7 simple words Dana said that changed his mind and his outlook on life. Following the accident, Christopher and Dana became advocates and brought much awareness to spinal cord injury. Following Christopher Reeve’s death in 2004, Dana created The Christopher Reeve Foundation, which was renamed The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation. The foundation is dedicated to curing spinal cord injury by funding innovative research, and improving the quality of life for people living with paralysis through grants, information and advocacy. Here, we break down Christopher and Dana’s marriage, explain how they redefined ‘‘in sickness and in health”, and explore what their unconditional love means to couples today. We also bring you up-to-date on how Christopher and Dana’s kids are keeping their legacies alive 20 years later. Let’s discuss…

Demi Moore: What Her Golden Globe Win Means To Women In The Workforce – And What Is The Real Takeaway From Acceptance Speech?

Demi Moore recently won her first Golden Globe for her role in ‘The Substance’. This also marked to be her first EVER award in her career that’s spanned over 45 (!) years, with roles in movies such as ‘’Ghost, ‘G.I Joe’, ‘A Few Good Men’, and more. She was the highest paid actress in the 1990’s, and yet, she wasn’t ever recognized for her massive success. The same couldn’t be said about her ex-husbands. Specifically, about Bruce Willis and Ashton Kutcher. They won an endless amount of awards and received a huge amount of recognition for their work. They both even won Raspberry awards. Moore’s win was a pivotal moment in her career, and her speech was even more so pivotal. It highlighted a defining moment, and not just in the actress’s career, but in all women’s lives, especially ones in the workforce. It marked an understanding that Moore had become a victim of what too many women go through in their lives – being suffocated by the narrow and rigid stereotypes of how they should behave at work and that these outdated stereotypes hold them back. It also marked a truthful reality in why Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig weren’t recognized for their work on ‘Barbie’ at the 2024 Oscars despite the fact that Robbie was the producer of the mega film and Gerwig was the director, whereas Ryan Gosling, who played Ken, did. Here, we in the entertainment industry that’s spanned over 45 years. We break down Moore’s entire acceptance speech, explain what the acceptance speech means to women in the workforce, and explore what her win means to women everywhere – no matter what age. Let’s discuss…

Sharpay Evans: Why She Was The Most Misunderstood Character In The ‘High School Musical’ Franchise – And Why Ashley Tisdale Could Never Live Up To Her

Sharpay Evans was probably the most hated character amongst teens of tweens of the 2000’s era who loved ‘High School Musical’ when it first came out in 2006. Now almost 19 years later, we revisit the character of Sharpay and see her in a much different light. Instead of seeing her as the villain of the story, we now see her as merely the victim, where instead, Troy and Gabriella, and even her twin brother, Ryan were the real villains of the story. Take the fact that Troy and Gabriella were never even sure if they wanted to be a part of the musical they were in competition for with Sharpay, whereas that was all that Sharpay ever really wanted for herself. They even ditched the high school play for other endeavours, and it was Sharpay who saved the day, not them, in the end. Troy and Gabriella had other interests that weren’t musical theatre. For them, it was all just a hobby. For Sharpay, it was her LIFE. With all that being said, the ‘High School Musical’ trilogy robbed Sharpay of achieving everything that she deserved. Luckily, she was redeemed in her own spinoff movie, ‘Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure’, which really put a depth into her character arc, and show med just how strong-minded she really was. Here, we break down Sharpay Evans’ character arc throughout the entire ‘High School Musical’ movie series, explain why she’s not your typical pretty, blonde, spoiled rich girl, and instead, a girl who’s not to be messed with, and predict why Peyton from the spinoff series was so important to Sharpay’s story. We then also compare Sharpay’s story to that of Rachel Berry’s from ‘Glee’, analyze what the two have in common, and what the two characters, as well as the actresses behind them, represent. Let’s discuss…

Iggy Azalea: How Powerful Older Men Become The Reason For A Woman’s Lack Of Success – And How A Woman Starting Her Own Venture Becomes The Hardest, And Yet Most Rewarding, Step In Her Career

Iggy Azalea had a MASSIVE debut in 2014, with not one, but two of the greatest hits of that year – as a featured artist on Ariana Grande’s ‘Problem’, as well as her own single, ‘Fancy’, featuring Charli XCX. The following year, Azalea released ‘Pretty Girls’ with Britney Spears, but it…flopped. Azalea went on to go on Twitter wars with Azealia Banks and Spears herself. What followed were cancelled tours, more flops, and relationships drama. Azalea’s career never recovered. She attempted to salvage her artistry by starting her own record label in 2018, but still failed to see any amounted success. Many believe that it was Azalea’s Twitter wars, cancelled tours, and relationships drama that caused her career as a rapper to fail. Here, we break down her entire career as a rapper, explore the assumed reasons why it failed, and explain the ACTUAL reasons why it never recovered by comparing her artistry to that of Kesha, JoJo, Victoria Justice, who also has ties to Ariana Grande, and even that of Zendaya. Let’s discuss…

Ariana Grande: Why Women Are Belittled And Seen As Less Than In Their Careers – And Exactly Why They Shouldn’t Be

In the past decade, Ariana Grande has become one of the biggest superstars in the world. She first gained recognition when she starred in the Nickelodeon hit TV series ‘Victorious’ as Cat Valentine. Thereafter, she concentrated on her music career, with hit songs such as ‘Problem’ with Iggy Azalea, ‘Bang Bang’ with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj, ‘Thank U, Next’, and so much more. Now, she’s starring in her biggest role yet – Glinda in ‘Wicked’. Getting to play Glinda was a role that Grande manifested since she was 10 years old, when she met Kristin Chenoweth, the original Glinda on Broadway in 2003, backstage and told her she wanted to play Glinda. In between these two major milestones in her career, Grande endured a lot of turmoil in her life. First, there was the 2017 Manchester Arena bombing, and then, the death of her ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller, the following year. Since then, she’s been married, divorced, and in a new relationship with her ‘Wicked co-star, Ethan Slater. Slater reportedly left his wife, Dr. Lilly Jay. With all that being said, we know too much about Grande’s personal life. We care too much about her personal life. We give too much meaning to her personal life, even with the fact that she’s gaining so much recognition for her work now in her portrayal as Glinda. That’s why we break down her career and personal life in the past decade. We explore how the two are intertwined. And then we explain why they shouldn’t. Let’s discuss…

Demi Lovato: Why The Art Of Starting Over Didn’t Work For Her – And Why She’s Not As Good Of An Advocate As She Claims Herself To Be

Demi Lovato has been working since she was 7 years old. Her first television appearance was on ‘Barney & Friends’ a television series which introduced her to her former best friend, Selena Gomez. Lovato made it big when she starred in 2008’s ‘Camp Rock’, a role that initially was offered to Gomez. What followed was ‘Sonny With A Chance’ in 2009. What followed is years of turmoil for Lovato – both I her career and personal life. In 2010, she checked herself into rehab after she punched her backup dancer on her ‘Camp Rock’ tour. She was released two months later, and suddenly became the spokesperson and an ally for addiction, recovery and mental health. In private, however, she was still struggling with her addiction for another year. While she was clean for 6 years, she had a near-fatal overdose in 2018, which caused her brain damage that still affects her to this day, and will continue to affect her for the rest of her life. In 2021, she released her comeback album and documentary, ‘Dancing With The Devil…The Art Of Starting Over’, but they failed. Here, we explore why the art of starting over didn’t work out for Lovato, as well why she’s not a good of an advocate as she claims herself to be. We thoroughly break down her career to its entirety, her 2021 era, why it failed, and how her advocacy is actually dangerous and not to be taken seriously. Let’s discuss…

Selena Gomez: What Her Struggles With Lupus And Bipolar Disorder Meant For Her Relationships With Benny Blanco And Justin Bieber – And What The Smear Campaign Against Hailey Bieber Say About Her

Selena Gomez had a wild night at the Golden Globes, and it was all for a good reason. She was there because of her two major breakout roles – ‘Only Murderers In The Building’ and ‘Emilia Pérez’. She had her new fiancé, Benny Blanco, to support her big night. Hailey Bieber subtly supported Gomez too by liking a photo of her posted on Instagram. And speaking of Hailey Bieber, she was mentioned recently in Blake Lively’s legal complaint against co-star and director, Justin Baldoni. That’s because Bieber was involved in her own smear campaign against her when she married Gomez’s ex, Justin Bieber, just a few months after the two broke up in 2018. ‘In two months, you replaced us,’ Gomez sang in her ‘Lose You To Love Me’ song. Hailey became the most hated woman in the world by Jelena stans, and is blamed for their breakup to this very day. The two have been pitted against each other, though both Gomez and Baldwin Bieber have attempted to shut down speculation of drama, but to no avail. Social media is a much stronger platform the two combined. Here, we go back in time and look back at Selena Gomez’s very on-and-off relationship with Justin Bieber, break down what her lupus diagnosis meant for her relationship with him, as well as to her new relationship with Benny Blanco, who ironically was friends with Bieber and even produced some of his songs throughout his career, and we explain the smear campaign against Hailey and what it tells us about Selena as a person. Let’s discuss…

Taylor Swift: A Complete Break Down Of Her 2016 Smear Campaign- And Why It’s Nothing Like That Of Blake Lively’s

Taylor Swift has made history in the past two years with the help of her Eras tour. She’s been thriving in her career and personal life thanks to the biggest tour that she’d ever done. Frequent attendees of the tour were Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively. Swift and Lively have been friends for at least a decade, and Swift is even godmother to her kids with Reynolds. The singer was also mentioned in Lively’s complaint against Justin Baldoni. More specifically, she was mentioned in how her reputation was aimed to be destroyed by Scooter Braun, the owner of TAG, when he purchased her entire music catalogue in 2018 for $300 million and then sold it the following year without her knowledge. But Swift’s reputation was aimed to be destroyed way before that, starting in 2016 by Kanye West and his then-wife, Kim Kardashians. Here, we break down Swift’s entire 2016 smear campaign that almost ended her career, compare it to that of Blake Lively’s, and explain why the two are nothing alike. Let’s discus…

Blake Lively vs. Justin Baldoni: An In-Depth Analysis Of Their Ongoing Legal Battle – And What It Means To Men And Women In The Workforce

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni starred together in the 2024 hit film, ‘It Ends With Us’. Rumours of tension between the two started swirling when they didn’t pose together at the New York premiere of the movie. During press, it seemed as though they were promoting two different films. Baldoni was promoting a movie about domestic violence and abuse, the subject matter of the film. Lively promoted a romantic comedy. Nevertheless, the movie did well in the box office, grossing $351 million. The world seemed to hate Lively for her tone-deaf take on domestic violence. Baldoni was praised and recognized for his efforts on being an ally for women. It all changed, however, on December 20, 2024, when Lively filed a legal complaint against Baldoni & Co.
The filmmaker suffered greatly since then, and filed his own lawsuit against The New York Times, who published the story on Lively’s complaint against him. Here, we break down both lawsuits, take a look back on Baldoni’s career and advocacy before ‘It Ends With Us’, and decide whose side are we on.
